Here we are, yet again with a new startup coverage. We all have faced the dilemma of tasteless and unhealthy mess food if I may call it so. Fitbite solves this problem of ours. We interacted with Sai Chakradhar Araveti (Co-Founder Fitbite), a final year Electrical engg. student, to know more about how his startup aims to provide a one stop solution for similar problems.

What is Fitbite?

As Sai puts it, he and a lot of his friends ordered food frequently from outside or went for the junk food. Well, this did not go well and they fell sick more frequently and had to pay several trips to the hospital. They noticed that students and busy working class people face a severe problem of unhealthy food. Some people are even under the misconception that homemade food is healthy. Though it is hygienic but not healthy always. This was the primary motivation for them to make a product that prepares a customized diet chart for the user and also provides ready to cook semi-prepared DIY recipes, so that the consumer maintains a healthy lifestyle. Fitbite will make a community of doctors and best dieticians to provide services to the customers. Right now their target is the working class people. Fitbite will also save the effort of having to go to market and buy groceries.

What makes them tick?

Fitbite which took shape in September 2015 aims to diffuse healthy food habits and tackle lifestyle diseases in the society through this initiative. Sai also told us that his internship experience with a VC firm, Bertelsmann India Investments gave him a fair idea about what startup is and what it takes to build a successful startup. The other Co-founder of Fitbite is Harshit, a fourth year chemical engineering student who has many accolades to his name. He is mainly involved in the innovation part. They have tested a pilot level Fitbite project in Chennai. Their USP is that they are combining the food delivery and health care industry, providing a one stop solution which takes them ahead of everyone else.

The Way Ahead
