On the eve of Alumni day, held on 17th and 18th December, IIT Delhi witnessed the homecoming of several of its heroes. Among them were 3 students of the 2010 batch, who had managed to make it large. And not by joining a heavy-paying bigshot industry, but by taking initiative and giving their dreams, the refined shape of a startup. These 3 were – Raghav Verma, the co-founder of Chaayos ; Samar Singla, Founder of Jugnoo and Ravi Soni, the founder of Obbserv. Here are some of their experiences that they shared with us during an interview. And time and again, the students of IIT Delhi have ushered in newer technology to match this pace.  We are proud that three of our graduating chemical engineers have been accredited with the creation of FAME One, a technology that converts waste cooking oil into bio- diesel.

Ambar Srivastava : A TR35 awardee

Ambar Srivastava is a dual degree graduate in Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology from IIT Delhi (year -2008). Ambar developed a mobile phone-sized haemoglobin meter dubbed the TrueHb Hemometer for which he received MIT’s TR35 award for top innovators under 35.
