The Institute has take a number of steps to inculcate innovation into the students. With the change in curriculum and the inclusion of design courses and credits, the administration has clearly expressed its desire for students taking up more innovative activities.
QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) Rankings known for its transparent and accurate method for giving ranks to universities worldwide, released its 2015 list recently in which MIT University has been ranked as no. 1 worldwide, followed by Harvard, institutes in India have finally made their first step forward towards global appreciation and recognition, being in top 200 for the first time in its history.
Recognizing the need to provide an effective medium of discourse between the students and the administration in a quality academic institution , the Student Affairs Council (SAC) organized an open meeting with the director for all research scholars at IIT Delhi.
One key thing that separates a prestigious academic institute from others is its willingness to discuss and address the problems faced by its student community. An epitome of this was the 'Open Meeting with Director' which was held on the 20th April,2014 at Dogra Hall for the first and second year students of IIT Delhi.
