Girnar booked their place in the finals with an easy 3-0 victory over Zanskar in the inter hostel table tennis semi finals.
The first match was played between Anirudh Modi from Girnar against Sahil Jindal. Sahil took control early on easily winning the first game 11-4. In their second game once again Sahil had the upper hand leading by 6-3 when Anirudh mounted a strong comeback winning 7 points on the trot to bring the game score to 1-1. Anirudh continued his form over the next two games as well winning both of them 11-9 as Girnar won the first match 3-1. The second singles match was between Akash Yadav and Shubham. The quality of Akash proved to be too much for his opponent as he eased his way to a victory winning the first three games 11-4, 11-7, 11-5. Girnar were now leading by 2-0 with victory nearly assured. For the third and final match of the game Rohan wrapped up the things in style winning over Siddharth in straight games 11-8, 11-7, 11-7.
All eyes are now set upon the finals where Girnar take on Satpura as the race for GC nears an exciting end.
