The Vivekananda study circle organized a session on “Science of Yoga”. The lecture focused on giving students a scientific and holistic perspective of yogic sciences. Swami Ishwarananda Giri of Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS) addressed students and other guests at Seminar Hall.
Swamiji, who is monastic in-charge of YSS' Noida ashram spoke on the meaning of Yoga, explained the path of Raja Yoga, described the benefits of Kriya Yoga and shared with the audience the concept of meditation as a means to self-realization.
“As science student, we are so much into the materialistic world that we hardly have any time to dwell into the realms of spirituality. The lecture was very well structured and provided me an entirely new perspective towards spirituality and yoga.” Said Harish, a 1st year Mtech student
A session of guided meditation for interested students would be organized soon at IIT Delhi.
