Alfred Hitchcock once said, “What is drama but life with the dull bits cut out.”
The Dramatics Club held its first event, The Inter-Hostel Stage Play, on 21st September in the Seminar Hall. A team of six students from a group of either two or three hostels came together to present a skit which showcased their talents not only in the field of acting but also in the field of screenplay and direction. The Navya Theatre Group was there to judge the participants on a diverse set of parameters.
Although the first year was not allowed to participate in the event, their enthusiasm could easily be seen in the audience. The event witnessed a large number of students cheering for their hostels. They created an electric atmosphere, and chants of “Nilbulls”, ”Jai Jwala” resounded through the walls of the seminar hall. The team of Vindyanchal and Himdari emerged winners at end of a very tight and entertaining competition.
