Amid the crowd
Somewhere between
Four eyes call aloud
Yes it was there
Him, her, their love
It was late
She had to leave
Oh! How he wished she could stay
She looked at him
His gesture, he understood
Stood up with his car keys
She said, "Lets walk, please!"
Dark night; lonely road
Yes, it was there
Him, her their love
"You're beautiful ", he said
She blushed, red
Bit her lower lip, chin down
His warm hands pressed against her cold
In the middle of that town
Yes, it was there
Him, her, their love
Her eyes black, hair brown
His tender touch, eyes round
They would never forget
Close they were, very close
So close-
She could hear his heart beat
Faster than the jet
Faster than ever
And her heavy breath
He could feel
It was late
She had to leave
Oh! How he wished she could stay
There it was, she called it her home
For him, she was the paradise he owned
He could not see as she left
"Wait, Don't go!" , he voicelessly wept
She turned
No she did not hear
She felt
They glared
Silence
Yet their eyes shouted
A million words, a gazillion secrets
None of us would ever know
But we know this
That yes, it was there
Him, her, their love.
